摘要: This exploratory quasi-experimental investigation describes the influence of text signals on team visual map artifacts. In two course sections, four-member teams were given one print-based passage versions course-related topic “Social in groups” downloaded from Wikipedia; this had paragraphs, each with a prominent heading. Teams section (10 teams, 40 participants) version that included original hyperlinks (HTS) displayed as underlining, while other (nine 36 an alternate removed but same number important topics underlined (TTS). Participants worked during class time to create maps using large sheets newsprint. Both headings and terms predominated TTS maps, only hyperlink not HTS maps. The forms, measured by vector pattern matching graph centrality, also significantly different. Relative average forms more complex like expert’s map, linear, showing primacy effect. Further, substantially alike. These results indicate these readings strongly influenced collaboration
