Forced convective structures in a differential-flow reactor

摘要: A model of an autocatalytic reaction in a differential-flow reactor is considered which the reactant immobilized and autocatalyst allowed to flow (with uniform velocity) diffuse. Consideration given influence that periodic external signal (fluctuations inflow concentration autocatalyst) can have upon convective structures exist this model. It shown that, depending on frequency signal, there are two parameter regions giving distinct spatio-temporal responses. There region high excitation waves (convected forced waves) appear for finite range frequencies. Outside domains natural response waves. Close boundary these irregular responses suggestive excitable system: packets travelling complex form develop at non-regular intervals surrounded by small amplitude
