摘要: Abstract Shifting Escherichia coli from aerobic to anaerobic growth caused changes in the ratio of [ ATP ] ADP and negative supercoiling chromosomal plasmid DNA. Shortly after lowering oxygen tension, both transiently decreased. Under conditions exponential growth, were higher than under conditions. These correlations may reflect an effect on DNA gyrase, since vitro influences level attained when gyrase is either introducing or removing supercoils. When activity was perturbed by a mutation gyrB, shift resulted supercoil relaxation similar that seen with wild-type. However, low mutant persisted during time wild-type recovered then exceeded levels. Thus, tension can alter through exist between intracellular .
