摘要: A possible mechanism effecting the earlier onset of South China Sea (SCS) southwesterly (summer) monsoon compared to Indian is revealed by use NCAR/NCEP reanalysis data during 1998 Monsoon Experiment (SCSMEX). It found that fundamental cause might be different spatial distributions and time variations surface sensible heat (SH) fluxes in two areas. In SCS area, positive heating exists all both tropics subtropics with latter being dominant after March. While India Peninsula (IP) tropical one at early period before May subtropical smaller even negative. further west-east contrasts SH middle latitudes are also favorable monsoon.
