摘要: Abstract The heavy metal in-taken by plants from contaminated soils is usually assessed extraction with 0.1N HCl. This study characterized the chemical form of lead in solid residue HCl-extracted Pb-contaminated kaolin. results indicate that most Pb(NO3)2-contaminated kaolin dried at 105 °C mainly PbCl2. For other lead-containing sample heated 900 °C, XAS analysis also shows majority compound was converted into PbCl2 precipitate remained during HCl extraction. Because only slightly soluble dilute acids or water, it suggested using liquid as an extracting reagent to represent uptake might actually underestimate uptake.
