A study of transport coefficients of electrons in some gases used in proportional and drift chambers

摘要: Abstract We have studied the behavior of electrons in different gases (argon, carbon dioxide, isobutane, methane, methylal) and various mixtures these gases, using calculations based on simple classical relations, order to choose best gas mixture for drift chambers optimize their stability. The results are compared with experiment.
