摘要: In an attempt to clarify the genetic factors in alcoholism among Japanese, polymorphism of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and aldehyde (ALDH) genes has been investigated. Genetic ADH2/ALDH2 66 cases normal subjects, 90 dependent, 31 patients with alcoholic liver disease Japanese analyzed using a polymerase chain reaction assay followed by direct sequencing method, because ethanol is mainly catabolized ADH ALDH less cytochrome P450IIE1 catalase. The incidence both ADH2*1/*1 ALDH2*1/*1 was significantly higher dependence when compared that control subjects. addition, ALDH2*1/*2 ALDH2*2/*2 reduced alcoholics not different from dependents. According these results, only ALDH2 gene, often claimed be responsible for but also ADH2 gene polymorphism, which modulates metabolism ethanol, play important roles habitual intake behavior some leads diseases.
