摘要: Giardia cysts were detected in feces of a domestic llama (Lama glama) and lambs (Ovis aries) from Wisconsin, U.S.A. All the animals examined immature, they had recent histories poor condition passing unformed or semiformed, pale stools. both host species excysted vitro, trophozoites cultivated axenically. Furthermore, sources shown to produce infection Mongolian gerbils (Meriones unquiculatus). The finding represents new recorded for this parasite. Also, is first report Giardia-infected sheep Western Hemisphere.
