An increase in differential mortality by sex in the state of Sao Paulo

摘要: Historical data series from the vital registration system of State Sao Paulo are used to identify age-groups where increase male surplus mortality has been most intense. In these evolution principal causes death which account for this sex differential analyzed over past 40 years. The results show that despite a general decline in there an differentials by particularly between ages 15 and 39. This is primarily due decrease female deaths related pregnancy accidents homicides among males. (summary ENG) (EXCERPT)
