摘要: A hypermetabolic physiologic response characterizes the human to major trauma. The complex process of maintaining homeostasis can be upset by a variety perturbations. As pathways and mechanisms begin understood, it is possible think modulating them under conditions stress due burn or blunt trauma eliminate deleterious components restore organism more normal state quickly. This possibility was recognized initially Guthbertson,1 who identified after traumatic injuries that resulted in period negative nitrogen balance. Building on this foundation idea manipulations done clinically limit effects systemic inflammatory mediators.
