摘要: Groups of male Swiss-Webster mice were exposed to concentrations chlorine varying from 0.7 38.4 ppm and hydrogen chloride 40 943 ppm. The total exposure time both gases was 10 minutes. Dose-response curves plotted for chloride, using the percentage decrease in respiratory rate during each as response reflecting sensory irritation upper tract. results showed be 33.0 times more irritating than with 95% confidence limits 18.6 57.1. Guidelines obtaining a range acceptable threshold limit values (TLV) based on tract are discussed. It concluded that current TLV 1 is limit, established 5 lies at lower predicted range. mechanism chlorine's chloride's may explained by their reaction various functional groups membranes trigeminal nerve endings lining nasal mucosa.
