摘要: Patients admitted to the PACU after surgery may require mechanical ventilation. Knowledge about anatomy and physiology of diaphragm its association with ventilator modes be helpful in management this patient. As acuity patients increase, more also on higher levels positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), requiring nurses understand relationship between PEEP function facilitate weaning. This article provides a review ventilation mode diaphragmatic performance. The physiological effects associated use are reviewed.
