摘要: The effects of gap thickness, injection flow rate, overflow percentage, initial fiber content, and resin viscosity on the distribution at end stage compression transfer molding have been studied. Experimental results shown that in all cases, a certain amount penetrates preform, contrary to extended hypothesis flows exclusively through gap. Furthermore, is not homogeneous penetration depth varies depending distance from point, being deeper near inlet point. Simulation based quantitative analysis penetrating into preform demonstrates most influent parameters are percentage percentage. In fact, ratio between permeability (r) governs tendency or penetrate preform. Increasing r reduces which but there an upper asymptotic limit no differences noted. Finally, simulation also demonstrated can be neglected during stage, as pressure low. POLYM. COMPOS., 2017. © 2017 Society Plastics Engineers
