摘要: The glassy-winged sharpshooter, Homalodisca vitripennis (Germar) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), is a xylem fluid-ingesting leafhopper that transmits χylella fastidiosa Wells et al., plant-infecting bacterium causes several plant diseases in the Americas. Although role of water stress on population density and dispersal H. has been studied, nothing isknown about effects transmission χ. by vitripennis.Alaboratory study was conducted to determine influence sharpshooter stylet probing behaviors associated with acquisition inoculation fastidiosa. Electrical penetration graph used monitor feeding for 20-h periods citrus [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] almond [Prunus dulcis (Miller) D.A. Webb] plants subjected levels stress.
