摘要: The stability of the Antarctic ice shelves in a warming climate has long been discussed, and recent collapse significant part, over 12,500 km2 area, Larsen shelf off Peninsula led to refocus toward implications decay for Antarctica's grounded ice. Some smaller have undergone periodic growth past 11,000 yr (refs 7-11), but these are at climatic limit viability therefore expected respond rapidly natural variability century millennial scales. Here we use records diatoms, detrital material geochemical parameters from six marine sediment cores vicinity demonstrate that B is unprecedented during Holocene. We infer our oxygen isotope measurements planktonic foraminifera thinning throughout Holocene, suggest prolonged period region, combination with long-term thinning, shelf.
