Sol-gel synthesis of zirconia barrier coatings

摘要: A method for applying zirconia barrier coatings using a sol-gel is described. The of 8 wt % yttria-stabilized are applied by spin coating solution containing zirconium alkoxides and yttrium acetate on to stainless steel substrates. Crystallization the films was observed thermal treatments in range 750 1050° C. Excellent adhesion at interface, due significant coating-substrate interfacial reactions, indicates that this route feasible coatings.
