Inhibition of Acid Corrosion in API 5L X52 Steel with 1,2,3-triazole Derivatized from Benzyl Alcohol: Experimental and Theoretical Studies.

摘要: Abstract This work presents the synthesis of new triazoles derived from benzyl alcohol to be used as corrosion inhibitors for API 5L X52 steel in HCl 1M medium. The results showed that all derivatives displayed a better inhibitory capacity than alcohol. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy conjunction with polarization curves revealed compound 6 highest 94.2% inhibition efficiency at concentration 50 ppm. Furthermore, it was determined compounds 3, and 7 were anodic behavior 4 5 acted mixed inhibitors. Benzyl its synthesized fitted Langmuir adsorption isotherm. combined phenomenon proposed according thermodynamic parameter values obtained. Dispersion-corrected DFT studies, assuming cluster approach, obtained free binding energies matched well experimentally standard energies. physisorption-chemisorption observed explained terms electrostatic interactions chemical bonding between metal surface inhibitor. Finally, largest charge transference cluster.
