摘要: Seasonally inundated areas and water-saturated soils are common features of lowland Arctic sub-Arctic permafrost environments. With the onset snow melt, water percolation down through snowpack, a principal factor controlling stream channel flow, aside from active layer depth, is topography. This paper investigates networks derived advanced spaceborne thermal emission reflection radiometer (ASTER) global digital elevation model (GDEM) version 2 in static terrain-based GIS-model. The suitability using ASTER GDEM2 for modelling drainage network over low-relief terrain assessed. aim to use analysis establish network’s connectivity previously observed spring flood patterns Yamal peninsula. As such, there two parts this study: 1) DEM validation 2) analysis. results study show that root mean square error (RMSE) reference data approx. 10 m when compared both sets (RMSE = 12.17 m, N 86 RMSE 9.64, 506,877), implying sufficiently accurate modelling. low between seasonal inundation suggests topographic controls play less important role possible overbanking lakes basin overflow. However, densities investigated basins were significantly lower than those expected typical basins. Both more sophisticated techniques as well higher spatial resolution DEMs needed extract accurately hence comprehensive link seasonally areas.
