摘要: Methods for inhibiting corrosion in aqueous evaporative systems where soluble silica (SiO2) is maintained at residuals between 10 Mg/L and saturation, but more preferably greater than 300 mg/L as SiO2, to provide films that protect system metals. Silica provided by evaporation of water subsequent concentration transformation naturally contained source water. The methods the present invention highly effective inhibition mild steel, copper, stainless aluminum, zinc, galvanized steel various alloys such comprise pretreatment removal polyvalent metal ions from makeup water, maintenance monovalent ions, controlling pH a minimum 7.0 presence an elevated temperature environment. Thereafter, specified chemistry residual ranges are achieve scale corrosion.
