摘要: The competition between ion–molecule and hydrogen bond interactions in K+(benzene)1–5(water)1,2 is examined using infrared spectroscopic mass spectrometric methods. cation-π interaction π-hydrogen play an important role the structure of mixed cluster ions. Important observations include: preferential binding benzene vs water to K+; “dehydration” potassium ion by benzene; observation acting as a double proton donor with bonds two benzenes.
