摘要: This chapter is focused on the application of photonics in medicine, namely, systems designed to facilitate delivery bioactive agents (drugs, photosensitizers). The introduction carrier into such allows increase their efficiency, reduce side-effects and precisely control dose, place time inside patient’s body. Three main aspects problem are analysed this chapter: (1) using light-sensitive probes study pharmacokinetics drugs; (2) choice route for photosensitizers used photodynamic therapy (PDT), including prodrugs, micelles, inorganic hybrid nanoparticles virus capsids; (3) achieving targeted precise over release profiles by containing photoresponsive carriers. basic mechanisms photophysical photochemical processes involved discussed, PDT, photoinduced NO light-triggered drugs from liposomes, prodrugs other specific systems. most interesting examples described, advantages limitations various discussed.
