Confined Planar Helix: A Novel Waveguide Structure

摘要: A new waveguide structure, with properties similar to those of a helix, is reported. The structure can be fabricated using printed-circuit techniques. Characteristic equations and dispersion characteristics for the are presented. These results show that some guided modes have slow-wave nature helix; other NRD waveguide. Measurement also expected applications in guided-wave, radiating, electron-beam devices.
