摘要: The photosynthetic reaction center (RC) from the Rhodobacter sphaeroides bacterium has been covalently bioconjugated with a NIR-emitting fluorophore (AE800) whose synthesis was specifically tailored to act as artificial antenna harvesting light in entire visible region. AE800 broad absorption spectrum peaks centered gaps of RC and its emission overlaps most intense bands, ensuring consistent increase protein optical cross section. covalent hybrid AE800-RC is stable fully functional. energy collected by transferred via FRET mechanism, system outperforms noteworthy 30% overall photochemical activity native under range light. This improvement characteristic photoenzyme demonstrates effectiveness bioconjugation approach suitable route new biohybrid materials for conversion, photocatalysi...
