摘要: Quercus ilex L. (holm oak) coppices, widespread around the Mediterranean basin, are probably result of 5 000 years prolonged human disturbance original pubescens Willd. (downy forests. Since has almost ceased in recent years, a question arises as to development these coppices: will Q. forests return, or remain dominant species? To investigate phenomenon, we analyzed first stages, i.e. germination two species holm oak coppices. Our experiments show that both germinated better coppices than clearings clear-cuts. Moreover, appears be slightly favored above and it is suggested auto-allelopathy involved, at least partially inhibiting ilex.
