摘要: The plasma membrane Ca2+-pump (PMCA) is a key element in the removal of intracellular Ca2+. A number PMCA pumps, encoded by multigenic family and differing their regulatory domains, also exist neuronal cells. We discuss here an idea regarding new, higher level specialization protein isoforms with different sensitivities toward phospholipids calmodulin. based on kinetic data from stimulation acidic phospholipids, combination results describing alternative RNA splicing at site C coding domains protein. resulting complex modulation underlies specific cellular requirements for Ca2+ homeostasis tissue-selective manner regulated spatial distribution enzyme as well factors. possible role injury discussed.
