摘要: Selenium is essential for humans and the deficit of Se requires supplementation. In addition to traditional forms such as salts, amino acids, or selenium-enriched yeast supplements, next-generation selenium with lower risk excess supplementation, are emerging. These based on toxicity, higher bioavailability, controlled release, zerovalent nanoparticles (SeNPs) selenized polysaccharides (SPs). This article aims focus existing analytical systems dietary supplement, providing, at same time, an overview methods available forms. The supplements evaluated in comparison conventional/traditional ones, well analysis speciation that suitable reveal which species present a supplement. Knowledge gaps further research potential this field highlighted. review indicates should include step related chemical separation. Such would allow proper characterization forms/species, including molecular mass/dimension, substantiates marketing claims main advantages these new ingredients.
