摘要: The present study evaluates the response comparability between 361 elderly hip fracture patients admitted from community to seven Baltimore area hospitals 1984 and 1986 interviewer selected proxies on items pertaining patients' pre-fracture health functional status. Agreement across ranges very poor good varies with respect or assessed. Proxies tend overestimate patient disability relative themselves, especially regard capacity perform instrumental activities of daily living. Although who report greatest contact respond most comparably patients, when they do disagree, disability. authors suggest that attention item construction phrasing may improve comparability.
