摘要: This paper proposes a new efficient directional weighted median filter for impulse noise removal in medical images. The proposed method consists of two phases: detection and filtering. In this method, is done by Directional Weighted Median (DWM) [1], filtering applied to only corrupted pixels the noisy image. stage based on differences between current pixel its neighbours aligned main four directions considered window. then values as well uncorrupted selected window giving appropriate weights better restoration Extensive experimental analysis shows that technique can be used images with different type noises. Both quantitative qualitative superiority over other filters.
