摘要: An account of recent work is given by the author and co-workers on experimental determination cross sections for excitation transfer between (2)P((1/2)) (2)P(3/2)resonance levels in potassium, rubidium cesium, induced inelastic collisions with alkali atoms inert gas their ground states. Forty values were obtained a series sensitized fluorescence experiments, which vapors vapor-gas mixtures irradiated one component appropriate resonance doublet, relative intensities both components appearing fluorescent light measured. The experiments indicate that collisional interaction an atom (2)P state probably occurs valence electron behaves like quasi-free particle.
