摘要: This study investigates Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s and Tariq Ramadan’s conceptualizations of European Islam centering on three thematic issues: “European-Muslim” identity the role Muslims in Europe, reform pertaining to fiqh Islamic ethics, question incompatibility Sharia with cultural system. It produces a detailed critique scholars’ positions, analyzes ways which their approaches overlap differ from one another, evaluates extent they take into account thinking socio-political realities West, determines feasibility propositions context.
