摘要: Summary 1. The carbon source for reproduction in plants may differ between flowering and fruiting stages. To clarify how spring ephemerals use current photosynthetic products reproduction, the allocation patterns of photosynthate at effects resource limitation on reproductive performance Corydalis ambigua were assessed. 2. A 13C tracing experiment revealed that about 20% was used both fruiting. The proportion allocated to fruits constant irrespective light level. In contrast, translocation tubers increased fruiting, this trend accelerated when shaded. 3. Defoliation treatment significantly reduced nectar production tuber mass, while seed not affected. Therefore, assimilation limited, preferentially (seeds) rather than pollinator attraction (nectar) or storage (tuber). 4. If is partly supported by carbohydrate reserved old tissue tubers, compete strongly sources. contrast ability high production, susceptibility photosynthesis indicates species basically limited pollen capture. 5. Therefore, temporal separation pool mitigate joint availability. Temporal variation sink–source balance organ crucial understand cost perennial plants.
