摘要: Abstract Numerical simulation results obtained with a transported scalar probability density function (PDF) method are presented for piloted turbulent premixed flame. The accuracy of the PDF depends on mixing model and time scale model. Three widely used models evaluated: interaction by exchange mean (IEM) model, modified Curl’s coalescence/dispersion (CD) Euclidean minimum spanning tree (EMST) three combined simple which assumes constant C ϕ = 12 value. A comparison available measurements shows that only EMST calculates accurately variance reaction progress variable. An evaluation structure PDF’s variable predicted confirms this conclusion: IEM CD predict an unrealistic shape PDF. Simulations using various values ranging from 2 to 50 have been performed. observed deficiencies persisted all considered. value was found be optimal choice. To avoid ad hoc choice , more sophisticated in simulations new is based linear blending between flamelet combustion distributed developed. has proven very promising as can applied combustion.
