摘要: Abstract Aggregation phenomena of Neutral Red and a new derivative monobrominated were examined in different buffer solutions as function dye concentration. The dyes chemically photochemically stable the lipophilicity bromo-compound was characterized by experimental computer prediction data. In addition, acid dissociation constant singlet molecular oxygen production determined spectrophotometrically yielding values 1.16 3.14 for derivative, respectively. effect photosensitizer concentration, visible irradiation time cellular density on lethal photosensitization against Staphylococcus aureus investigated. improved physicochemical photophysical properties accompanied significant increase photoantimicrobial action, conventional-sensitive -resistant isolates. Based these results, exhibited favorable properties; therefore, compound could be promising sensitizer with applications photoinactivation S. .
