摘要: Recreational uses of streams, although nonconsumptive, increasingly conflict with traditional off-stream water in arid regions. demands for instream flows have collective good attributes such that the recreationists' preferences may be inadequately reflected allocation decisions. The contingent valuation approach was adapted to impute flow shadow prices from a sample recreationists on Cache la Poudre River northern Colorado. During periods relatively low flows, estimated marginal value exceeds irrigation, suggesting need altered policies.
