摘要: Abstract Precise prediction of the gas–liquid slug flow is crucial for proper design and operation at various industrial processes. This paper provides a comprehensive review published experimental numerical works in horizontal pipes, including critical analysis state-of-the-art parameters used to characterize regime. The discussed characteristics are length, frequency, velocity. Throughout paper, an endeavor does devote discerning areas where modern development work needed. Accordingly, some observed gaps literature, comprising hydrodynamic behavior transition zone interaction between structural pipe. lack laboratory information high liquid viscosity impact on characteristic also observed. On contrary, robust less empirically independent CFD models required accurately predicting with minimal computational cost.
