摘要: Bali has long held a special place in the Australian imagination. Since 1970s, it been favourite holiday destination. More recently, taken on darker associations, as bombings of 2002 and 2005 precipitated widespread reassessment Australia’s region world. This article traces ways which Australians have imagined, experienced represented from 1970s to present-day. It finds that travel tourism are not merely reflective broader attitudes, but rather play central role shaping perceptions racial cultural Others.This peer-reviewed.
