摘要: Purpose: To compare conspicuity and detection rate of hypointense lesions on T1-weighted (T1w) gradient echo (GRE) sequences with low high flip angles (FA) in hepatocyte phase magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using gadoxetate disodium. Materials Methods: This Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant study was Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved. The population consisted patients liver undergoing MRI disodium, hepatocyte-phase fat suppressed 3D T1w GRE at both (10–12°) (30–35°) FA. Contrast-to-noise ratios (CNRs) were calculated for parenchyma vs. large common bile duct (CBD) liver. Three radiologists each assigned a score (CS) lesion detected or Paired Student's t-tests compared the (LD) only data set entire examination, CS FA. Results: In all, 57 70 small identified 18 patients. Average LD significantly greater FA versus overall (LD 89.0% 79.5%; 2.8 2.2; P < 0.05) (81.4% 65.7%; 2.5 1.8; 0.05). liver-to-lesion CNR CBD-to-liver (P 0.05). Conclusion: Increasing disodium improves conspicuity, particularly lesions. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2012;35:611-616. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
