摘要: Mucus glycoproteins (mucins) were isolated from cervical and gastric mucus as well chronic bronchitic sputum. The gel was solubilized by slow stirring in 6M-guanidinium chloride supplemented with low-Mr proteinase inhibitors. Subsequent removal of non-mucin proteins DNA achieved isopycnic density-gradient centrifugation. the respiratory mucins similar size (Mr about 10 X 10(6) 18 10(6)), respectively), whereas considerably larger 45 10(6)). 'Subunits' after disulphide bond cleavage same for three mucins, glycopeptides obtained subsequent trypsin digestion subunits. Physical data suggest that conform to model polymeric structure proposed previously mucins. macromolecules are described linear flexible chains behaving, dilute solution, random coils. We propose than hitherto recognized various origins very their macromolecular properties structure.
