摘要: Mucus glycoproteins (mucins) were isolated from cervical and gastric mucus as well chronic bronchitic sputum. The gel was solubilized by slow stirring in 6M-guanidinium chloride supplemented with low-Mr proteinase inhibitors. Subsequent removal of non-mucin proteins DNA achieved isopycnic density-gradient centrifugation. the respiratory mucins similar size (Mr about 10 X 10(6) 18 10(6)), respectively), whereas considerably larger 45 10(6)).
