An investigation of the morphology of Langmuir films based on molecular polyimide brushes containing magnetite nanoparticles

摘要: Molecular brushes having a polyimide (PI) backbone with degree of polycondensation n = 33 and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) side chains two different degrees polymerization (m 63 m 114) were synthesized by the method controlled atom transfer radical polymerization. Hydrophobic magnetite nanoparticles size 18 ± 2 nm prepared. Langmuir monolayers on basis composite monolayers, containing hydrophobic surface, formed at water/air interface. It is found that, in condensed state monolayer surface pressure values from 25 to 40 mN/m, limiting area A 0 per chain brush grows an increase length PMMA polymer almost factor 2: 744 64 A2 for PI-graft-PMMA-63 1644 50 PI-graft-PMMA-114. Increasing solution aliquot mixed ratios 1 : leads rise 1072 59 first 2534 79 third one. The obtained transferred onto mica Langmuir-Schaeffer (0.5, 10, mN/m). With use atomic force microscopy, it shown that four- sixfold mean roughness film due inclusion into typical all samples.
