摘要: The importance of lifetime measurements nuclear levels has been recognized for a long time. techniques employed to measure lifetimes, or absolute transition probabilities, are very simple conceptually but ingeniously adapted obtain sensitivity the decay products and cover an enormous time scale from 10−20 sec many years. In this chapter, we discuss only small fraction scale, namely, ∼10−15−∼10−9 sec. Radiative lifetimes excited in range can be measured with some accuracy by Doppler-shift methods, recoil distance plunger method (RDM) attenuation (DSAM). It is important range, particularly obtaining information about collective excitation modes nuclei throughout periodic table.
