摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on agronomy of white clover (Triflium repens L.). White is the most important pasture legume in temperate zones world. It value because its wide climatic range, high nutritional quality and digestibility herbage, significant contribution it makes to economy grass/white pastures by fixation atmospheric nitrogen, especially absence fertilizer nitrogen. normally described as a creeping, much-branched perennial. grows roadside verges natural throughout world where soil conditions are suitable, but seeded deliberately mainly North America, New Zealand, northern Europe. used principally component mixed grass/clover swards, which usually grazed situ. not grown monoculture difficulties keeping such swards weed free, low annual herbage production, short growing season, concern about bloat possible reproductive problems grazing livestock. In European Economic Community (EEC) countries, 3,000 tons seed each year, United Kingdom sows one-third. based largely work northwestern Europe literature from other countries also cited relevant.
