Louisiana motorcycle fatalities linked to statewide helmet law repeal.

摘要: The Louisiana mandatory motorcycle helmet law was repealed on August 15, 1999. primary objective of this study to determine if the repeal resulted in an increase accidents, morbidity and mortality. outcome measures were use, fatality rates, collision head neck injury, length hospital stay. secondary state mandate affected use people less than 18 years old or underinsured. Also documented drug alcohol presence could be correlated with use. results show a significant decrease fatalities after repeal, both statewide locally.
