摘要: A CrCoNi medium entropy alloy thin film is fabricated using magnetron sputtering. It exhibits a unique hierarchical nanostructure, featuring (1) high density of planar defects (mostly stacking faults plus small number twin boundaries), (2) dual-phase configuration (a mix face-centred-cubic and hexagonal-close-packed), (3) vertically aligned, textured nanocolumns, each with width ∼100 nm. The nanostructure in this study original, especially for its dual phase combination, since the bulk generally presents single structure. shows hardness quadruple that structured counterpart. formation role producing such mechanical strength are discussed.A discussed.
