Knowledge, awareness and attitude of oral health and root canal treatment among medical professionals

摘要: Background: Oral health is also considered as an integral part of the overall individuals where it acts a mirror body and general health. Medical professionals have early opportunity to diagnose signs oral disorders can help dental for timely intervention. Materials Methodology: After taking informed consent, standard questionnaire was asked be filled by total three hundred twenty seven participants (Doctors, Nursing students). Analyses were done with regard knowledge, practice awareness participants. The data analyzed using chi-square test categorical data. Results: Regarding knowledge health, 92% aware that brushing prevents tooth decay periodontal diseases. attitude towards 81% check-up necessary during pregnancy. about 83% knew related. root canal treatment, only 57-73% correctly responded given questionnaire. However, statistically significant difference observed between medical nursing regarding pertaining treatment. limited very few areas like importance brushing, maintaining pregnancy relation preserving grossly decayed treatment its success in professionals. Conclusion: better than students faculty.
