摘要: Crack bridging from an elliptical hole in fiber-reinforced ceramic composites is studied. For some composites, matrix toughness much less than the gained zone, i.e. zone runs across entire width of a specimen at small load. In such case, load-carrying capacity only depends on one parameter which measure notch sensitivity. Solving crack problem for various aspect ratios and law shapes, role determined. The results presented may be used to guide design addition providing improved understanding mechanism fiber-matrix failure.
