摘要: In order to propose a procedure suitable for assessing steel welded joints by post-processing simple linear-elastic finite element (FE) models, this paper summarises an attempt formalise novel approach based on the use of modified Wohler curve method (MWCM) applied along with theory critical distances (TCD). This engineering was initially calibrated using standard curves supplied Eurocode 3. Subsequently, unifying value multiaxial distance calculated taking full advantage from notch-stress intensity factor (N-SIF) approach. The accuracy and reliability devised systematically checked large amount data taken literature generated testing details both under uniaxial nominal loading. particular, cruciform structural having complex geometries were considered specimens tested in as-welded stress-relieved condition. seen be highly accurate, giving estimates falling within widest scatter band between two used calibrate itself. our proved capable correctly into account scale effect as well degree non-proportionality stress field damaging fatigue process zone. Such results are very interesting promising, especially light fact that numerical effort which has made apply proposed is same one needed other existing approaches.
