摘要: The newer magnetic resonance (MR) imaging methods can give insights into the initiation, progression, and eventual treatment of osteoarthritis. Sodium is specific for changes in proteoglycan (PG) content without need an exogenous contrast agent. T1ρ sensitive to early PG depletion. Delayed gadolinium-enhanced MR has high resolution sensitivity. T2 mapping straightforward collagen water content. Ultrashort echo time examines osteochondral junction. Magnetization transfer provides improved between cartilage fluid. Diffusion-weighted may be a valuable tool postoperative imaging.
