摘要: Thirty subjects with a family history of hypertension and 28 without such performed Stroop Color-Word Interference task, mental arithmetic task (serial subtraction sevens), shock avoidance (repeating digits backward while expecting to be shocked for mistakes). Systolic diastolic blood pressure pulse rate were recorded anticipated, undertook, recovered from the undertook tasks. It was found that compared nonfamily subjects, manifested reliably greater cardiovascular reactivity during each in anticipation task. These results are congruent notion excessive sympathetic nervous system reactivity—possibly genetically determined—is involved development some form(s) essential hypertension. Further, indicated consistency, or stereotypy, response across experimental tasks than subjects. The possible role stereotypy is also discussed.
