摘要: Towed and sting-supported cones were tested in the wake of various payloads at supersonic speeds to determine their drag stability characteristics. The investigation extended over a Mach number range from 1.57 4.65 included such variables as Reynolds number, cone angle, ratio base diameter payload diameter, trailing distance. results this showed that towed symmetrical speeds, general, have good characteristics if flow region. A with an angle between 80 deg 90 will give maximum while still maintaining region investigation. In order minimize effects, should be least one preferably around three. distance three times most cases, is sufficient length avoid low instability decelerator.
