摘要: Abstract In cold-formed steel structures, such as trusses, wall frames and portal frames, the use of back-to-back built-up channel sections are becoming increasingly popular. an arrangement, intermediate fasteners required at discrete points along length, preventing channel-sections from buckling independently. Current guidance in AISI A obtained comparisons showed that AISI& AS/NZS standards un-conservative for stub short columns which were failed by local whereas over-conservative strength slender mainly overall member buckling. This paper has therefore proposed improved design rules verified their accuracy using finite element analysis test results sections, subjected to axial compression.
